What are you going to do with all those Halloween candy wrappers? Just throw them away? Never! They can become artwork. Just save any smooth sided can (soup cans are the perfect size) and apply the wrappers onto the outside of the can. If you use various kinds of candy wrappers you can overlap them like a collage. If they are the same candy wrapper you can just glue them vertically like columns. You and your kids will not only have a beautiful pencil holder, but a piece of art too.

What you need:

  • Candy Wrappers
  • Can
  • Matte medium- a kind of glue that can be found at your local craft store
  • Mod Podge- found at local craft store
  • Paint brush

What you do:

  1. Gather the candy wrappers you would like to use. Choose colorful ones- they can be from the same candy brand or you can mix and match.
  2. With the paint brush, apply the matte medium to the back of each wrapper. After you have covered the entire can apply Mod Podge- this will give your can a shiny finish.
