click here to find out more about Suefrozen.jpg (5195 bytes)Here's a dessert that the kids will love and is simple to prepare. It combines the great taste of chocolate, peanuts and bananas. Best of all, it's easy to make and great fun for the kids to get involved.

What you need:

  • 1 cup (8ounces) semisweet chocolate chips
  • 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil
  • 1 cup chopped peanuts
  • 4 firm ripe bananas, peeled and cut diagonally in half.
  • 8 wooden craft sticks

What you do:

  1. chocolate.jpg (6027 bytes)Line a baking sheet with waxed paper.
  2. Melt 1/2 cup of chips following package instructions. Stir in 1 1/2 teaspoons of the oil. Scrape into a shallow plate with a rim.
  3. Spread 1/2 the nuts on a piece of waxed paper.
  4. Insert a craft stick into cut end of 4 banana halves. Roll bananas in melted chocolate (use a spoon to help), then roll in chopped nuts. Place on prepared sheet.
  5. Repeat with remaining ingredients. Freeze at least 1 hour before serving or before placing in an airtight container and freezing up to 1 month.
